My name is Susan Mitchell. I am married with two daughters and a big black lab. My passion is to help others going through transitions as I have personally experienced many transitions, personally and professionally. I believe when God has taken you through the valleys of life, it becomes a calling to pay it forward. I have been coaching clients through my law practice and students making career decisions while a professor for over 30 years. I am a Life Coach and Mayo Clinic-trained Health and Wellness Coach working with large groups and individuals transitioning through life events such as retirement, career changes, leadership development, divorce, loss of a loved one, and health challenges.

My undergraduate degree is a BA from Buena Vista University and a JD from Drake University Law School. I've practiced law in Des Moines and taught Business Law and other law-related courses at Des Moines Area Community College, Ankeny, Iowa before retiring from full-time teaching in 2017. I'm a certified professional Co-Active coach with training from The Co-Active Training Institute, Inc. Co-Active Professional Coach Training is widely recognized as the most rigorous professional coach training and certification program in the industry. As the largest and most established professional coach training organization in the world, CTI has trained over 65,000 coaches, including employees in more than a third of the Fortune 100 companies.
